About AutoXtra
AutoXtra is a car repair garage in Boländerna in Uppsala. The garage does servicing and fault finding, changes and stores tyres, washes and valets cars, fits tow bars, reupholsters car seats and services motorhomes. Its customers are both private individuals and businesses.
On Google, the garage has an average rating of 5.0 from 24 reviews (September 2026).
The starting point
The old site was a React app with five pages. The HTML was empty until JavaScript had loaded, so Google got almost no content to read. The site had no sitemap, was marked as English and had no booking.
The garage does everything from oil changes and timing belt replacements to wheel alignment and car upholstery, but online there were five pages to find. Someone who googles "byta kamrem Uppsala" (timing belt replacement Uppsala) or "däckhotell Uppsala" (tyre storage Uppsala) gets pages about that exact job. A garage without such pages does not show up.
Before
- 5 pages
- Empty HTML until JavaScript loaded
- No sitemap, marked as English
- No booking, no shop
After
- Around 95 pages, one per service
- Ready-made HTML that Google reads straight away
- Sitemap, Swedish and structured data
- Five-step booking and a tyre shop
The goal
We set three goals together with the garage:
- Show up on Google for every job the garage does, and in the neighbourhoods around Boländerna.
- Let customers book a time or buy tyres without calling.
- Give the garage one place to manage bookings, tyre orders and reviews.
What we built
We built the site from scratch in Astro, with ready-made HTML that Google can read straight away. Work started in September 2026.
A page for every job
The site has 45 service pages grouped under six areas. Each service has its own address that Google can show to someone searching for that exact job.
- 16pages about tyres
- 13about car servicing
- 9about washing and valeting
- 5about car upholstery
- 2about motorhomes
- 2about tow bars

Besides the services, there are 13 guides, six of which answer questions like "how much does … cost", eight pages about car makes, and pages for prices, offers, business customers, gallery, reviews and FAQs. In total, around 95 pages are listed in the sitemap.
Neighbourhood pages that are not copies
Eight pages target neighbourhoods around the garage, from Gottsunda and Gränby to Stenhagen and Svartbäcken. Google treats pages where only the place name changes as thin doorway pages, so we built a rule into the code. A neighbourhood page is only published if it has at least 400 words of its own content, the driving time to the garage, directions and a local landmark. If anything is missing, the page is stopped at build time.

Registration number first
The homepage starts with a registration number field. Customers enter their car, choose service, tyres or washing and land on the right page. The registration number is looked up automatically, so the site knows which car it is before the customer picks a time.
Booking in five steps
Booking takes five steps. The customer gets a confirmation by email and text message. If a text message fails, the booking still goes through and the error is logged so the garage can follow up. After the visit, the customer gets a text message with a link to leave a review on Google.

A tyre shop with search by registration number
The tyre shop pulls its range from the wholesaler Amring, and stock is updated every hour. Customers search by registration number, see which tyres fit and pay by card. The tyres are reserved for 30 minutes while the customer pays, so nobody else can buy them in the meantime.

An admin panel for the garage
The garage manages everything in its own panel with a calendar, bookings, tyre enquiries, tyre orders, reviews and settings. Bookings that come in by phone are added manually, so the calendar is always right. The garage sets its own mark-up on tyres.
Technical SEO
Every page has structured data that tells Google what it is about: the garage as AutoRepair, the services as Service, opening hours, breadcrumbs and FAQs. The 24 old addresses are forwarded with 301 redirects, so links to the old site keep working. The sitemap lists only pages that should be indexed.
The site has 26 automated tests that run on every change. Among other things, they check the structured data, the sitemap and that the neighbourhood pages pass the quality rule.

The result
AutoXtra went from five pages to a site where every job has its own page, where customers can book and buy tyres around the clock, and where the garage keeps track of everything in one panel.

Questions about the project
What is the biggest difference from the old site?
Google can read the site. The old site showed an empty page until JavaScript had loaded. The new one delivers ready-made HTML, and every service has its own page instead of five pages in total.
How does booking work?
The customer chooses a service, extras, date and time, fills in their details and gets a confirmation by email and text message. The garage sees the booking straight away in its calendar.
Where do the tyres in the shop come from?
From the wholesaler Amring. Stock is updated every hour, so customers see what is available to buy.
Why a separate page for each service?
Someone searching for a specific job, such as a timing belt replacement or tyre storage, gets results for pages about that exact job. One page per service gives the garage a chance to show up in each of those searches.
Can you build the same thing for our garage?
Yes. SK Gummi in Skärholmen is built on the same foundation, with booking, a tyre shop and an admin panel. Book a meeting and we will go through what your garage needs.
