Uppkörningsvakt
A web service for people waiting for a driving test or theory test slot
We built the website and web app for Uppkörningsvakt, a service that watches for cancelled test slots at the Swedish Transport Administration and sends a text when one appears.

What improved
What visitors can do on the site.
- Start a watch on one page, without creating an account first
- See which test centres are within a chosen travel time
- Read the address and opening hours of 64 test centres
- Pay by card, Klarna, Apple Pay or Google Pay
Where they started
Uppkörningsvakt was a new service. There was no website, no checkout and no visibility in Google. The people using it are often taking their licence for the first time, or a parent paying for their child. The site had to explain what the service does and get a watch running in a few minutes.
The whole sign-up on one page
The visitor picks who is taking the test, which test, vehicle, gearbox, town and how far they can travel, and enters a mobile number. Then comes BankID and payment. There is no account to create first, and no free-text fields to think about.

Travel time instead of a list of towns
Someone living in Södermalm could just as well take the test in Farsta or Järfälla. So the search is by travel time by car. The test centre map shows which centres are within half an hour, an hour or two, and the watch uses the same limit.

One page per test centre
Many people search for the centre where they will take the test, for example its opening hours or address. All 64 centres have their own page for driving tests and theory tests, with details from the Swedish Transport Administration and a link to the source. 27 guides answer the questions around the licence, such as what it costs and how the test works.
